Review by hotel critic
Feeney's Audubon Lodge offers a solid blend of comfort and convenience, making it a worthwhile consideration for budget-conscious travelers. Situated in the heart of Salthill, the location is a key highlight, allowing easy access to various pubs and cafes within a short stroll. Parking right outside the lodge is another advantage, particularly for those navigating the region by car. The room I stayed in was adequately spacious, featuring a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom with impressive shower pressure-something I've come to appreciate after many stays across the UK. Though breakfast isn't provided, the nearby options are plentiful and satisfying. While there's a touch of luxury with the flat-screen TV and well-equipped tea and coffee facilities, the pricing remains reasonable for what is essentially a homey atmosphere. Worth noting, however, is the lack of on-site dining, which could sway some guests. Feeney's strikes a commendable balance between value and comfort.
